Khatod is an Italian fully integrated Factory, able to provide a full service that combines all of the manufacturing processes, from initial design to production, as well as a proven capability to develop custom optics.

2016- 2017: THE EVOLUTION

Since January 2016, we have expanded our facilities at all levels.
The newest industrial complex – 28,700 sqm of advanced technology – is at disposal of anyone who has ambitious new projects to realize, or is looking for ready-to-use solutions as efficient as custom-made optical solutions.

Early 2000s: GOING FURTHER – Milano, Italy
Khatod starts its specialization in the engineering and manufacturing of Secondary Optics for Solid State Lighting: from lenses for the first generation of LED Lighting applications up to the latest cutting-edge optical solutions, boasting advanced optical engineering, rising to the challenge and matching the more and more sophisticated and demanding applications in LED Lighting.

Khatod was born as Manufacturer of Optical Components by Injection Molding: optoelectronic devices for automotive, military, household appliance applications; lenses for industrial applications.

Khatod manufacturing operations include computer-integrated tooling, moulding, and automated production equipments. Depending on the specific requirements, the manufacturing operations are carried out in three ways: totally automatic, semi-automatic, manual.

- 60 injection-molding machines – 25 to 700 tons- running 24-h cycle and 100% robotized, customized according to our specificaction for the transformation of technical and optical polymers.
- 5 Cold injection-molding machines, specific for the silicone molding process.
Khatod perfected a specific transformation process enabling to realize our unique silicone lenses. SIO3 lenses made of LSR silicone, launched in 2012, have been the world’s first range of silicone lenses for HB & COB LEDs; patented and winners of many international awards - Superior quality polymers specific for optical, mechanical, and technical properties

Khatod boasts one of the most advanced coating system plant, based on Plasma polymerization PECVD, specific for coating our optical reflector systems for LED lighting.
The treatment process enables to achieve the optimal surface condition prior to proceed to the next treatment process, such as coating, varnishing, etc.

- The reflector systems from Khatod achieve up to 37% higher optical performance than the optical efficiency performed by standard coated reflectors
- Allows the treatment of plastic materials of new generation, heat-resistant over 250°C (482°F)
- ZERO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT, totally complying with RoHS and ELV Standards. Khatod Vacuum Treatment Plant exclusively uses organic materials and it emits no waste substances that can pollute the environment and disrupts the climate. Its working operations are totally ZERO EMISSION.
